About the library

Large, modern centrally located library.  This is the main library in the Wigston District.  Entrance on Bull Head Street, parking at the rear of the building.  Ramp at front of building and library is all on one level with wide aisles, but other facilities including toilets on lower floor.  Lift and stairs to lower floor or alternative entrance on same level.
Marilyn Pemberton, the library manager is based here.  A larger collection can be found in Leicester Central Lending and Reference Library.

Tipping Permits

Do you want to tip waste using a van or trailer? Did you know that you need a short term tipping permit to do this?  Call the Customer Service Centre on 0116 305 0001 to apply and then collect your permit from Wigston Library.

Events/What's On

Gardening Talk: Derek Cox (from BBC Radio Leicester’s ‘Down to Earth') - Vegetables in Containers - Tuesday 23 March, 2.00pm - 3.00pm
Dyslexia Drop-in session - 27 March 10.00am - 12.00noon
Learning Support Service tutors will be available to talk informally about dyslexia and how this affects children and young people. Some resources and approaches will be available to view.
Chatterbooks reading group for 9 - 12 years, 1st Tues of the month 3.30 - 4.45 pm.
Wriggly Readers Story and Rhyme Time, 0-4 years with parents or carers. Every Tuesday 10.00am - 10.45 am.
