![]() SHIRE Village Hall GrantsSHIRE Village Hall Grants for works to extend, refurbish or carry out major improvements
and repairs to existing village halls or to create new halls. These grants are available to registered
charities and also to church halls where they serve as the village community centre.
Registered charities may apply for grants for the cost of extending, refurbishing
or carrying out major improvements and repairs to existing village halls, or to creating new halls.
The maximum grant available is 30% up to a maximum of £20,000. Similar grants may also be available
to church halls where they serve as the village community centre. Regular maintenance work is not eligible
for grant. Grants put local people at the heart of community involvement with
the choice, decision making and leadership
for community improvements placed firmly with communities themselves. The process is set out in Community
Involvement (pdf).
