Recycling Collections - Kerbside
Your district council is responsible for providing your kerbside recycling and household waste collections.
They are also responsible for the following:
- Queries relating to missed wheelie bins and recycling collections
- Replacement wheelie bins, recycling boxes, nets and sacks
- Household garden waste collections
- Queries relating to materials collected in your recycling collections
- Payments for garden waste collections
- Bulky waste collections
- Sharp Bins
If you require a sharps box for the disposal of waste sharps from self medication of prescribed medication please contact your doctor's surgery in the first instance. Your surgery will issue you a box for the safe storage of used sharps such as needles, however the collection of the sharps boxes is provided by your local district council. If you require a clinical waste bag for disposal of other household clinical waste you should contact your local district council. To arrange for either: a one-off collection or a regular collection of sharps boxes or clinical waste bags please contact your local district council. Please see a list of contacts below.
The district council that is responsible for your waste and recycling collections is the same one that you pay your council tax to.
