Well wishes for teens picking up GCSE results

A good luck message is being sent to thousands of young people ahead of GCSE results day.
The results of GCSE exams taken by around 8,000 students in Leicestershire schools will be released on Thursday (23rd August).
Last year's results were the best ever achieved in the county with 80 per cent of students scooping five or more A* to C grades.
Students who need guidance after receiving their results should seek help firstly from their own schools or colleges where staff will available to give advice on different options available.
Careers advisors Connexions can also provide further advice either through schools and colleges or local centres.
For the first time, this year a number of schools which are academies will report results.
Ivan Ould, Leicestershire County Council cabinet member for the children and young people's service, said: "GCSEs are an important milestone for young people and staff who have worked extremely hard.
"I hope that students waiting for their GCSE results achieve the grades they need and I wish them the best of luck for the next stage of their education, employment or training."
More information on careers advice is at www.connexions-leics.org .
Notes:
All results at this stage are provisional because they are subject to appeals and final statistical verification. Results are not usually published in a final form until the new term is well underway.
Academies are independent state schools which are not maintained by the council.
