Thirty thousand youngsters are bringing out the bunting and unfurling flags ahead of a special street party lunch fit for a queen.
Leicestershire County Council is serving up the royal treat at over 200 primary schools this week to celebrate the diamond jubilee.
The monarch-themed spread includes Buckingham butties, coronation crudités and Balmoral shortbread.
The street party menu features a logo created by 10-year-old competition winner Alex Doughty from Old Mill Primary School in Broughton Astley.
Ivan Ould, Leicestershire County Council's cabinet member for the children and young people's service, said: "People across the country are gripped by jubilee fever and it's good news that our pupils are joining in the celebrations.
"This specially-designed menu is fun but also nutritious, healthy and fresh, and I'd like to congratulate Alex on penning the winning logo design."
The council's school food support service provides 22,000 meals to children at 248 schools across Leicestershire every day.
Since the council took the meals service back in-house four years ago, there has an increase of 32 per cent in the of pupils choosing school meals.
It aims to encourage all school children in Leicestershire to have a nutritionally balanced diet in the school environment in order to promote healthy development and growth and to give the whole school community support, advice and guidance.
