Ghost hunt at Snibston on Friday 13th
Put the fear into Friday the 13th, by tracking ghosts at a former mine.
Leicestershire County Council is hosting a paranormal night at Snibston Discovery Museum on Friday, where local medium Gill Hibbert will take people on a tour around the former colliery site and the historic Century Theatre.
The event takes place from 8pm till 1.30am. Tickets cost £35 and must be pre-booked at Snibston.
David Sprason, Cabinet member for museums, said: Dare you spend Friday the 13th in a dark and deserted museum? This event promises to unearth a mine of spooky experiences.”
The tour will begin with a history of the site followed by a visit to each area, a seance and the use of paranormal equipment.
Guests are required to wrap up warm and bring a torch and they are welcome to bring their own recording equipment, such as camcorders.
Refreshments are included in the price.
The tour is only open to people aged 18 and over and no alcohol is to be consumed during the tour. Doors open 45 minutes before the start of the tour.
