County Hall accommodation

Work is currently being carried out to relocate County Councillors’ offices.

The work includes the re-location of the Leader's office to the first floor, a number of alterations to other rooms for the various political parties and refurbishment of toilets in this area.

It is required due to changes to the composition of the County Council’s political groups, plus the Council’s wider office strategy.

The strategy aims to make maximum possible use of County Hall’s space, close a number of outlying offices and reduce running costs by about £1million per year.

These changes will not affect access to or delivery of council services.

The work is being carried out by Olivetti Construction, at a cost of £42,450, following a competitive pricing exercise.
