The Leicestershire countryside has a wonderful network of footpaths, bridleways & byways for you to explore and enjoy.

There are over 3000 km of Rights of Way in Leicestershire, offering great walking, cycling and horse riding opportunities.
All routes are clearly marked with bold yellow topped waymarker posts and arrows, making it easy to find your way across the countryside.

Walking...Try the Parish Walks Series for short circular walking routes or for longer walks try some of our other walks

New Parish Walks leaflets published Desford and Lubenham are now available. Look out for the Sileby leaflet soon to be published.	Leicestershire Local Access Forum (LLAF) The LLAF meets to discuss ways of improving and managing public access into the countryside.

If you want a short circular stroll or embark on a 100 mile long distance path, Try Leicestershire. As well as looking after the Rights of Way network the County Council also produces a number of leaflets and booklets to help guide your way. All of the promoted routes have been signed and waymarked.
