Christina Baker, the library manager responsible for Newbold Verdon, is based at Earl Shilton Library. Larger collections can be found at Earl Shilton and Hinckley Libraries.

Mobile climbing wall
Friday August 6th from 1 - 5pm. A joint library/ youth service event for young people. Mission: Space Hop - Tuesday 24th August, 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Activites, stories and cosmic fun celebrating this year's Summer Reading Challenge. For children aged 5-12 years. Free
Coffee Mornings and Afternoon Teas at the Library
We often have guest speakers and special events, always have a raffle and always have fun. Visitors can have a drink, a biscuit and a raffle prize, all for just £1.00. Our forthcoming programme is now available, so why not come along, meet new people and change your library books at the same time? Coffee mornings held on the last Friday of every month between 10.00am and midday.
Afternoon teas held on the second Wednesday of each month from 3.00pm until 4.30pm.
Wriggly Readers Story and Rhyme Time. 0-4 years with parents or carers. Second and fourth Tuesday of each month, 11.00am - 11.30am.
Dad's Day - First Saturday of the month. 10.30 - 11.30am. A story, singing and rhyme session for Dads, Grandads and male carers and their under 5s
