Civil Partnerships & Marriages

A civil marriage ceremony can be held in any of the six ceremony rooms at any of our Registration Offices in Leicestershire, or at an approved venue that has been approved for the purpose by the County Council. The Civil Partnership Act allows same sex couples to obtain legal recognition of their relationship by registering a Civil Partnership. Once the partnership has been formed couples will have legal rights relating to pensions, tax and inheritance etc.
