Snibston Discovery Park is set in the heart of the National Forest on the site of a former colliery. The award winning attraction explores the impact of technology on our every day lives with over 90 indoor and outdoor interactive exhibits. The latest exhibition to be displayed at Snibston’s Fashion Gallery is the ‘Scarf Hoarder’ which consists of a selection of over 200 classic design pieces that represent a part of the Siddons Scarf Collection.

The Siddons Collection contains around 1,500 headsquares, handkerchiefs and scarves. The collection has been put together in its entirety by one local Leicestershire resident, Brenda Barnard. Her enthusiasm and personal passion for the headscarf has been turned into this amazing archive which she donated to the County Council’s Museum Service in 2002.

The exhibition has been extended until October 2008, normal admission prices apply.
