Local Search Enquiry
Leicestershire County Council is able to answer some of the CON29 Enquiries of Local Authorities by submitting a Local Search Enquiry. This allows private search companies and individuals to obtain the necessary information required for a search, increasing the quality and consistency of information delivered to the consumer.
Submitting a Local Search Enquiry
Online with Credit/Debit Card
The quickest and simplest method of submitting a request is to do so using our online form which allows you to pay in advance by credit or debit card.
By Post with Cheque
Leicestershire County Council also accepts payment by cheque. Payment is required up front and searches will not be released until payment is received. Depending on your chosen method(s) of response, you will receive either an electronic or hard copy receipt.
A Local Search Enquiry can be submitted to us by filling in either of the two forms shown below:

The electronic version can be filled in directly on the form and will automatically calculate the fee that is required. It is recommended that you save the form onto your computer before completing it and then return it to us by post with a cheque. - Local Search Enquiry Application Form - Manual (PDF, 37KB)
The manual form should be used for those who prefer to fill the form in by hand and will require you to consult our fee list to calculate the required fee.
Monthly Invoicing
As of 1st September 2011, we no longer accept local search enquiries with invoicing as the payment option. Consequently, we will not be accepting any new undertakings to pay by invoice.
If you still have outstanding invoices, you are able to pay your invoice online.

* E-mailed responses are provided with an electronic receipt free of charge. Faxed responses will also include a page showing receipt of payment free of charge.
