Wriggly Readers Story and Rhyme Times in libraries are fun sessions where babies and children aged 0 – 4 years and their parents/carers can join in with stories, songs and rhymes in a friendly environment.

The sessions are run by library staff and last about 30 minutes to an hour. Wriggly Reader sessions are friendly and informal giving families the opportunity to meet and make friends. Parents can borrow from the wide selection of resources that libraries have for young children.

From April 2012, sessions will be held weekly or fortnightly in bigger libraries. There will no longer be Wriggly Reader sessions in smaller libraries. However, we encourage families to continue to meet up at the library on a regular basis to share books, rhymes and songs together.
