Statutory Officers
There are three Statutory Officers who have particular roles in supporting the maintenance of high standards within the County Council. They are the Head of Paid Service (the Chief Executive) who oversees the discharge of functions by the County Council, the Monitoring Officer (the County Solicitor) who is responsible for ensuring the lawfulness and fairness of decision making and the Chief Financial Officer (Director of Corporate Resources) who has a duty to ensure the lawfulness and financial prudence of decision making.
