Citizens’ Panels

What is a Citizens’ Panel?
A citizens’ panel will typically be made up of 500-2500 citizens; their views feedback on options or proposals or local services normally through a questionnaire. Please see the Leicestershire’s Voice section of the site for more details about the Leicestershire Citizens’ Panel.
What does a Citizens’ Panel achieve?
Panels provide a representative view of public opinion. They are useful in considering changes in services.
When will we use a Citizens’ Panel?
Panels are useful as ongoing sounding boards, but we are more likely to get useful results when we ask questions about something the members know and care about.
