Business MattersBusiness Matters is a free quarterly trader newsletter. Designed to help the local
business community in Leicestershire, Business Matters is packed with up-to-date, news and advice.
Businesses in Leicestershire can obtain free copies of Business Matters by sending
an e-mail to the Trading Standards Service or by downloading a copy from this website in either Microsoft
Word or PDF format.
Hard copies are also available on request from the Trading Standards Duty Officer.

Consumer AffairsConsumer Affairs is a free quarterly newsletter that contains up-to-date news for
consumers and is produced in conjunction with the Trading Standards Service. Each issue contains information
including advice and tips on dealing with consumer problems, industry news affecting the consumer, product
safety recall notices, survey results.

Education PublicationsThe free Education Publications include information about schools, special educational
needs, useful addresses, bullying, making a complaint and the Parents and Carers Council.

at a broad audience, including local authority members and officers, the voluntary agencies and members
of the public. It aims to raise awareness about contingency planning and emergency management,
and it highlights issues that may be of interest to the target audience.

![]() Freedom of Information Publication SchemeThe Freedom of Information Act 2000 will allow the public to access information
held by local authorities. As the first step towards implementing the Freedom of Information Act, public
authorities were required to produce a Publication Scheme.

![]() Leicestershire MattersOur newspaper Leicestershire Matters aims to ensure that local people are aware
of the County Council’s vision and plans for the future.
It also promotes the activities of the County Council, shows our wide range of services,

Parish Walks LeafletsThere are over 20 Parish Walks Leaflets available free, each leaflet has written
directions and a map indicating alternative routes.
