The Leicestershire Lieutenancy
The Lord-Lieutenant is the Queen's representative in the County and the present Lord Lieutenant is Jennifer, Lady Gretton JP. The Lord-Lieutenant appoints Deputy Lieutenants to assist her and appoints one of these as the Vice Lord -Lieutenant.
The Lord-Lieutenant, Vice Lord-Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenants are collectively referred to as the Lieutenancy. Further information on the Lord-Lieutenant and the Lieutenancy are provided in the following pages.
