  • If you would like to come along to our exciting volunteer groups session or would like to know more about volunteering with the Country Parks Service then please get in touch. We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities and have 5 existing groups that work at many Parks throughout the year.

Compact Leicestershire

  
The Compact Leicestershire acts as a guide for the way that Public Sector partners and the Voluntary and Community Sector work together. Codes of Good Practice include:

  • Working with Black & Minority Ethnic Organisations

Communities and Wellbeing Project

 Supporting Volunteering Logo
Over 1000 people volunteer with the Communities and Wellbeing Service. We support volunteering in the cultural and heritage sector within museums and archives, libraries and adult learning teams across Leicestershire. Volunteering is flexible. Indoors or outdoors, alone or as part of a team, young and old, weekdays, weekends or every now and then. Volunteering can be for everyone!
Examples of current opportunities include:
  • Conservation and care of Museum Collections
  • Mentoring volunteers with specific disabilities to achieve their full potential
  • Delivering books, CD's and DVD's to housebound customers of the Library Service
