General Information |

Occupational TherapyArranging OT ServicesYou must have an assessment
of needs to determine whether you are eligible for OT Services. To arrange an assessment, please contact
your local social care office. Once
an assessment has been completed, the Occupational Therapist will determine which services are appropriate
for your situation. When a major adaptation, such as a stairlift or shower,
is recommended and the service user owns their own home, they will be advised to apply to their own
District Council for a Disabled
Facilities Grant to cover the cost of the work. If the service
user lives in a council or housing association property, usually the landlord will be asked to provide
the work. Minor adaptations, such as grab rails, small ramps and stair rails
are arranged by Adult Social Care Services. Other Useful Information |
