Lunch Clubs:
- Provide nutritious and balanced meals in friendly settings (choose between hot or cold main courses, a dessert and drink)
- Are based in local venues around the county
- Usually run once a week around midday for a few hours
- Are open to all
- Are a great way to get out, meet people and have a chat
- Are run by volunteers
- Most have disabled access and toilets suitable for disabled users
- Many clubs cater for people from ethnic minority communities
- Some clubs provide links to other social care services and advice
- Some clubs provide speakers and trips
- Some clubs are aimed at specific groups and/or have younger members eg stroke clubs
- Some lunch clubs travel around the county visiting a variety of venues usually once a month
- You need to contact the club organisers to attend a club

- Your local library will have lists of local clubs
- In some cases transport can be provided by the club - ask at the club of your choice.
