Community mealsThe County Council’s community meal service delivers approximately 300,000 meals a year to over 1,200 households across Leicestershire.
What are Community Meals?Leicestershire Social Care Services provide meals to people who have been assessed as needing this support. Meals are delivered to you in your own home on the days agreed.
Meals are especially catered to be well balanced and nutritious and can be provided for specific medical conditions e.g. diabetes, low salt

Who Provides the Meals?Leicestershire County Council’s meals-on-wheels supplier apetito Ltd has been awarded The Queen's Award for Enterprise 2005. The company both supplies and delivers all community meals. apetito provides 365-day coverage across all areas of the County. There is a varied menu that allows all service users a choice of which meal and dessert they receive. The meals meet the requirements of the National Association of Care Catering (NACC) Recommended Standards.
