Safeguarding Adults (Adult Protection)

Training & Documents

There are six levels of multi-agency Safeguarding Adults training available. All training is free and is open to staff from Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland local authorities, health services, police, fire service, independent and voluntary sectors.
Basic Awareness - all staff should have a basic understanding of their responsibilities within the Multi-Agency Policy and Procedure for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults from Abuse and within the Safeguarding Adults framework. Basic Awareness can be delivered 'in house' by local managers / staff development teams, or can be accessed as a multi-agency training session.

Level 1 - Basic Awareness

Level 2 - Alerters

Level 3 - Referrers

Referrers To provide Managers and Supervisors with a knowledge and understanding of their role as an alerter and a referrer within the Multi-Agency Policy and Procedure for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults from Abuse policy framework. Word Doc

Level 4 - Referral-Takers

Referral-Takers To provide staff who receive telephone contacts / visit service users to gather the relevant information when receiving a Safeguarding Adults referral under the Multi-Agency Policy and Procedures for the Protection of Vulnerable Adults from Abuse. Word Doc

Investigators To provide staff and managers with the knowledge of their role and responsibilities within the investigative process. Word Doc
