Leicestershire County Council and Rutland County Council Learning Disability Service - Governance StructureLeicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland Councils and National Health Services organisations are working towards the integration of health and social care services for people with learning disabilities. Chief and Senior Officers are responsible for directing the implementation of lead commissioning, and integration.
Health and Social Care staff who provide learning disability services within the community are currently working together in local offices to provide a more joined up service. Leicestershire County Council, Rutland County Council and Leicestershire County and Rutland Primary Care Trust currently share their resources within a pooled budget which is overseen by the Commissioning Board.
