
Learning Disabilities Partnership Board
The Leicestershire Learning Disabilities Partnership Board:
- Works to make sure that 'Valuing People Now' happens for people with learning disabilities and their families in Leicestershire
- Works with the Valuing People team to offer information, support, training and advice to anyone who is interested in learning disability
- Meets together every month at County Hall
- Supports a range of groups and events where people can speak up and influence the way services are planned and run
- Offers training and support to all services to make written information easy to understand
- Has developed training for groups and organisations
- Has developed a range of resources available free or for cost price
- By contacting the Leicestershire Valuing People team
- Who can also provide contacts for other sources of information, advice and support
- Some training is run every month and can be booked by contacting the team
- Information about the groups and events they run is on their website
- Better Lives - The Partnership Board website which includes a list of useful links
- Valuing People Now is a report by the givernment that tries to make sure that people with learning disabilities can get better lives, including better homes, better health, more things to do in the day, and help to get a job.
