Welfare RightsAs part of Leicestershire County Council's social care programme, the welfare rights service provides advice and information on benefit and tax credit entitlements. People will often be unaware of their entitlement, unsure of how to make claims or deal with difficulties that may arise once claims have been made.
AdviceIf you have a complex problem and are receiving services such as Home Care, Residential Care, Day Care, Adaptations etc, or have an allocated worker from the County Council Adult or Children’s Social Care Services, the County Council Welfare Rights Advisors can continue to assist you. You should ask your allocated worker or key worker about this.
If you are not receiving services, but need some welfare rights advice then the organisations listed in this document, Welfare Rights Advice can help.
