What happens when you need Social Care Services?

What will be expected of you?

  • We know that people want to do what is best for the members of their family. By completing the assessment you will help the Social Workers recognise the strengths you and your family have, as well as your difficulties.
  • We can help you best if you tell us what you do well in your family and your difficulties. We will keep you informed about what we are doing and thinking.
  • An assessment is an important part of our working with you. In a very small number of cases, there may be serious concerns about a child’s safety. Making sure that the child is safe will be our first concern. Please ask your Social Worker to explain this to you. You have a right to know.
