Your Social Care Records in Safe HandsCan I see my records?Yes, you have a right to see your social care records.
If you want to see your social care record, you will need to contact your local
office, social worker or care manager.
All requests for access to your records must be in writing. If you need help to
do this, you can ask a friend or relative.
See Further Information for some help with your request. If
you are applying for a person who cannot apply for themselves, we will ask you for proof that the person
wants you to get their information.
We must allow you to look at your record within 40 days of us confirming you are
who you say you are.
Can I see all of the information?Yes, you can see all of the information except in the following circumstances.
What if I do not agree with the information?If you do not agree with the information in your social care record, you may ask
us to change it.
