Governance Arrangements for LeicestershireIn Section 10 of the Children Act, states that we, and our partners, have a duty to co-operate to improve the well being of children and young people

The relevant partners of a children's services authority in England must co-operate with the authority in the making of arrangements under Section 10.
For the purposes of this section each of the following is a relevant partner of a children's services authority in England-
The Leicestershire Children and Young People's Board is a partnership group and comprises of senior representation from agenices and groups from across the County, delivering services for children and young people.
The Board has the overall responsibility to set the strategic direction for the development of services to improve outcomes for children and young people. Meeting papers for the Leicestershire Children and Young People's Board The Leicestershire Children and Young People’s Service Executive is chaired by the Director of the Children and Young People's Service and comprises of a small group of senior officers. It is accountable to the Leicestershire Children and Young People's Board and holds responsibility for the implementation of strategic direction which is set out within the Leicestershire Children and Young People's Plan and has been agreed by the Board.
