Carers Booklet

The carers information booklet (.pdf, 250kb) 'Looking After Someone You Care About? How Can Social Care Services help?' for informal/family carers was launched during Carers Week (June 14th – June 20th) 2004. It was written following wide consultation with carers and staff from statutory and voluntary organisations.

It contains useful information for carers on what to expect when you contact Social Care Services, how to get a carer’s assessment and details of the benefits available to carers.

It also gives addresses and telephone numbers for local Social Care offices and local and national voluntary organisations that could offer support to carers.
