Leicestershire Local Account 2010 - 11

Welcome to Leicestershire County Council’s Local Account.  This Local Account covers the work of the Adults and Communities Department during the year 2010-11.  This includes adult social care, libraries, arts and heritage, and adult learning services.

In previous years the Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessed the performance of the local authorities in delivering adult social care services.  However, this ended in 2010 and the table below summarises the CQC judgements up to this final assessment.

This is the first year that local authorities have been asked to produce an account of their actions and performance setting out our successes throughout the year and identifying areas that can be improved.

An important element of the Local Account is the opportunity for you to make comments and give us your feedback.  We welcome your comments.
