Spring savings for park and ride users
Discounted travel on park and ride services will be just the ticket this spring thanks to a series of money saving vouchers.
Shoppers, commuters, residents and visitors can save up to 15 per cent on journeys from Birstall, Enderby and Meynell’s Gorse over the coming weeks.
The deals are:
- A weekly ticket for £12.50 (usual price £14), available for purchase between March 5 until March 17** just £2.08* a day with a voucher
- A 10 trip ticket available for 10 return journeys within two months for £22.50 (usual price £26), available for purchase between March 19 and April 28** just £2.20* a day with a voucher
- A four week ticket for £35.50 (usual price £42), available for purchase between March 19 and April 28** just £1.48* a day with a voucher
Lesley Pendleton, Leicestershire County Council Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport, said: The park and ride is an easy way to get out and about this spring for shoppers, commuters and people visiting the city’s attractions.
Travelling by bus not only takes out the hassle of finding a parking space but it is a good value and a more environmentally friendly alternative to the car.”
The vouchers will be available in local newspapers, can be downloaded from www.quicksilverbus.co.uk or can be picked up from terminal buildings at Birstall, Enderby and Meynell’s Gorse as well as on park and ride buses and at selected libraries, service shops and other local outlets (while stocks last). The ticket offers are only available when presenting the driver with a promotional voucher within the offer periods.
The park and ride service is run jointly by Leicester City and Leicestershire County Councils
