Enjoy a night at the museum!

Those feeling adventurous can explore a creepy former colliery in the dark when Snibston Discovery Museum hosts its next Paranormal Night. The events have been running since April and have proved to be a huge success with many nights being fully booked!
Jill Hibbert, local medium and experienced paranormal guide, will take brave visitors around the museum on a search for the supernatural at the next event on Friday 14th October from 8pm-1.30am.
“I was surprised by what I picked up when I first visited Snibston,” she said, “I immediately realised there was a lot of residual energy there and I’m very much looking forward to what we discover on this night.”
Her late night tour, which also includes a séance in the Century Theatre, starts at 8pm and lasts for five hours, and will take in the museum's galleries, the former colliery, workshops and even its office blocks, which are not normally open to the public.
The evening is strictly limited to 15 people, so places should be booked early. Tickets cost £35 per person and include refreshments, and are only available to those aged 18 or over.
David Sprason, Leicestershire County Council Lead Member for Adults and Communities, said: "Snibston can be pretty spooky late at night, and this spine-chilling tour show visitors another side to this unique museum. The event has been very popular and with the next event taking place just before Halloween it will help people get into the spirit of things!"
