Join a former miner on a unique tour of Snibston’s nationally important colliery buildings. Hear what is was like to work underground in the dark, to be in a confined space for hours on end and to experience one of the most important, yet dangerous, jobs around. You’ll be amazed at the stories, the buildings and the objects we have to share.
Duration 1.5 hours.

Next, travel 11 miles/20 minutes to Bosworth Battlefield, the site that witnessed the death of King Richard III and the birth of the all powerful Tudor Dynasty. Re-live the drama and excitement of the battle on a 3.2 miles (2km) guided tour of Bosworth Battlefield Country Park with one of Bosworth’s experienced and knowledgeable guides*
Plus enjoy an afternoon cream tea at the Tithe Barn, which is included in the price.

Finally, journey 10 miles/19 minutes to visit one of Leicestershire’s most beautiful houses, Donington le Heath. This Medieval manor house dates back to 1280; it has links to the famous gun powder plot. Why not include a visit to the Donington le Heath museum as part of your tour? Entry is free!
