
Foxhunting Reference Library
Melton Carnegie Museum holds a reference
library relating to foxhunting. The catalogue is updated twice a year and is available by following
the link opposite. The collection can be viewed by appointment at the museum. Please allow a minimum
of three working days to make the titles you require available.
We are constantly adding new titles. If you would like to donate a copy of a publication
to the collection, please contact the museum on tel. 0116 305 3860 or email meltonmuseum@leics.gov.uk.
Library Highlight
In 2006, the widow of Lt. Col. John Metcalf Wood (1912-2004) bequested a collection
of 13 books to Melton Carnegie Museum. The books reflect Colonel Wood's enthusiasm for research and
collecting of sporting art, including paintings by John Ferneley.
