From Palisades to Palaces: The Medieval Castles of Leicestershire and Rutland
This exhibition celebrates and explores the famous and less well-known medieval fortified sites in the area. Most people have heard of Ashby, Kirby Muxloe, Belvoir and Oakham Castles, but did you know there were castles at Ravenstone, Whitwick or Sapcote and more than ten others? Includes objects found on castle sites around the County.

The Hallaton Treasure is one of the most significant Iron Age discoveries ever found in Britain. Join archaeologist, Peter Liddle, to discover more about the extraordinary finds which include thousands of gold and silver coins and a Roman cavalry helmet. There will be an opportunity to view a small selection of coins.
