Donington le Heath Manor House Grounds and Woodland

The 13th century stone Manor House, renovated in the 17th century, is a museum showing how people lived in Medieval, Tudor and Stuart times.

Surrounding the Manor House, are period gardens and woodland planted as part of the development of the National Forest. The gardens, re-created in a 17th century style, include flower and herb gardens, an ornamental maze and an orchard.

The Donington le Heath woodlands were created during the first decade of the 21st century by the County Council's Country Parks Service to provide a wildlife habitat and a further area for visitors and local people to enjoy. The woodlands cover some 2.5 hectares (6 acres).
