An illustration of The Record Office
The Record Office offers short and specific searches of up to one hour. Please have a look at our short search guidelines below to see if your search is one we can undertake. If you think it is, please email or write to us with the details and we will send you a form for you to complete and return with payment.  The cost is: £10 for a ½ hour search or £20 for a 1 hour search.

Short Search Guidelines

These guidelines are to help customers to decide whether the information they require can be provided within one hour. For longer or more complicated pieces of work you are advised to either visit or employ a record agent.
The charge is for the search even if it produces no results, although you will be informed of the likelihood of success and which records were checked. Copies are charged for separately.
