The internet is a great place to start. There are many healthy living websites but finding the best or most appropriate ones can be difficult. The websites below all give lots of useful information.
BBC logo
BBC Healthy Living has a wealth of information to help you establish good habits and reap the benefits.
Choose a six-week diet and activity programme, expert advice to help you maintain a healthy weight, information to help you have a healthy diet, increase your fitness levels with activities you enjoy.

British Heart Foundation logo
British Heart Foundation - there's lots you can do to keep your heart healthy - whatever your age.

  • Use Infolinx to find local groups and organisations. Search under exercise, fitness, diet or search for sports clubs and facilities.
  • Use leicestershirevillages.com to find local groups. Go to your town/village and search under ‘Find my nearest’
  • Active Together co-ordinators offer a varied range of walks and physical activities across Leicestershire. Look at the local programme for your district.
  • Search Yellow Pages under Health Clubs & Fitness Centres for local gyms and fitness centres.
