CD (Sound recording) Hire
Library members can borrow up to 12 CDs at a time. There is a hire charge for the week loan, although if you wish to keep the CDs out longer, then additional weekly hire charges will be payable when you return them. You may reserve a CD or cassette for a small fee.

The Central Lending Library in Leicester holds the largest and most varied collection.
Care of CDs
- Use suitable and well maintained equipment
- CDs, contrary to popular belief, can be damaged - please treat them with care
- Handle CDs only by their edges, and if necessary clean them using a cleaning cloth
- Do not expose CDs to strong sunlight or heat
