By Bus

The following bus routes serve County Hall, departing from St. Margaret’s Bus Station Bays 5 and 6:-
  • 26 (Leicester – Ratby – Thornton – Bagworth – Ellistown – Coalville*) – hourly
  • 27 (Leicester – Groby – Ratby) – half hourly
  • 28 (Leicester – Groby) – half hourly
  • 29 (Leicester – Groby – Markfield – Bardon – Coalville*) – hourly
  • 29A (Leicester – Groby – Markfield – Greenhill – Whitwick – Coalville) – hourly
* Routes 29 and 26 operate as direct services between Leicester and Burton upon Trent via Ashby with a change of number in Coalville. 29 becomes service 9 and 26 becomes service 9A. When travelling from destinations northwest of Coalville town centre, board the 9 or 9A, which continue to County Hall and Leicester as 29 or 26. Through-fares available.
  • CircleLine 40 (Leicester Outer Circle – Clockwise and Anticlockwise) – hourly
  • 120 (Leicester – Newtown Linford – Markfield – Stanton under Bardon – Coalville) – 2-hourly

The nearest railway station is Leicester (London Road, LE2 0QB).

You can either walk from the Railway Station to St Margaret’s Bus Station (Gravel Street, LE1 3AG) or you can catch a bus from the stop immediately opposite the the Railway Station entrance to St Margaret’s Bus Station, changing onto a second bus for County Hall.
