Benefits
|
ValuesValues are the standards which employees across Leicestershire County Council share. They represent the things we cherish and to which we aspire, they guide our day to day decisions and shape our individual and collective behaviour.
Our values are:
What can we offer you?We feel that the benefits we offer make a significant addition to our overall employment package. As well as making excellent provisions for holidays, sick pay and flexible working, a diverse range of roles and learning opportunities place us at the forefront of employers in the region. Our local government pension scheme is also recognised as one of the best in the UK.
Flexible WorkingWe have developed a range of benefits for staff that help to make LCC a great place to work, and that promote a good work-life balance.
These include:
* We recognise that some people cannot or do not wish to work full time hours for a variety of different reasons. Leicestershire County Council has a number of options for working flexibly, to accommodate the different needs and commitments that individuals might have. Whilst any of these options are, in principle, available to all employees the needs of the service are obviously important and some options simply may not be operationally practical for certain jobs.
** The corporate relocation policy does not apply to schools & Colleges.
Workers GroupsLesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Workers (LGBT) Group
The aims of the group are to influence the Council's diversity agenda, increase understanding of LGBT issues within the authority and provide support for LGBT staff.
