Crashes occur in many ways but three common elements are,
Take up the correct position to help you extend your view around the bend.
Use visual clues to help you follow the direction of the road, such as lines of trees, telegraph poles and hedges.
Go slightly slower into a bend than you think you can handle to ensure that the bend doesn’t catch you out. Sudden mid-corner corrections can unsettle the bike.

It is a fact that bikes are more difficult to see than cars and are often obscured by other vehicles.
As a biker you need to make yourself as visible as possible, brighter clothing and headlights help.
You also need to take up the best position on the road for each situation.
Drivers need to THINK BIKE.
Take longer to look at junctions and before changing lanes.

...MOST COLLISIONS CAN BE AVOIDED.
It is easy to think that power is all you need to get out of trouble.
Never do overtakes around junctions…drivers don’t always look left if they are turning left.
If you’re riding with mates, take it easy and ride to the ability of the slowest rider in the group.
Don’t rely on BLIND FAITH.
