Dangerous and Invasive Weeds

Not all plants in Leicestershire are good!
Invasive non-native species pose a threat to British plants and habitats - a threat which is likely to increase with growth in international trade and travel.
Some plants in the county are poisonous, and can be dangerous to both animals and humans.
We want to know where these plants are growing in the public highway, so we can dispose of them safely and stop them spreading.

These are by no means your typical garden weeds and it is vital that they are kept under control.
Have a look at the links above for pictures and further information about the plants. If you see them growing within the highway, you should not touch them or try to remove them yourself – note the location and call Roadline on 0800 62 62 03.
