Road Improvement Schemes in the Oadby and Wigston Borough
ROADWORKS AND DIVERSIONS IN THE SOUTH WIGSTON AREA INFORMATION
Around £1million is currently being spent in South Wigston to cut congestion, reduce traffic speeds and boost air quality. Improvement to bus journey times and facilities for pedestrians and cyclists are also being introduced and improved. Much of this is led by Leicestershire County Council however, utility companies, developers, Network Rail and others shall also carry out improvements in the area.
Over 12 months' planning has gone into co-ordinating the roadworks, and several companies have re-arranged work as a result.

Cost Band - This column indicates the estimated cost of the scheme.
"A" = £200,000+
"B" = £50,000 - £200,000
"C" = Under £50,000
Anticipated Construction - This column indicates the period in the current financial year when the scheme is expected to be completed.
"Q1" = April to June.
"Q2" = July to September.
"Q3" = October to December
"Q4" = January to March
