Birstall Park and Ride
This web page is about the Birstall park and ride scheme development and history. If you want any details about park and ride services then please visit www.quicksilverbus.co.uk.

This new Park and Ride site opened to the public last week (18th July 2011).
This new Park and Ride site will operate together with the £9 million, 1,000 space park and ride at Enderby which opened in November 2009.
The joint City and County Council scheme offers low-emission buses running every few minutes in to Leicester city centre and aims to reduce the number of cars on the road.
This new Park & Ride site, to the north of the city adjacent to the A46 Leicester Western Bypass and the Hallam Fields development, has parking for 1,000 cars.
Buses run every fifteen minutes into Leicester city centre from 7am to 7pm, Mondays to Saturdays. Stops include St. Nicholas Place, St. Peters Lane and Belgrave Road.
The park and ride service will offer frequent direct bus journeys into Leicester City Centre.
Opening day at the new park and ride site

The adjacent picture and below show the park and ride service being used by passengers on the opening day.
