| Background |
The Junction 21 Area is located on the south-western side of Leicester and has been extensively developed over a number of years. This development has resulted in contributions being made available for highway improvements within the area. View a plan of the extent of the Junction 21 area covered by this project. Over recent years several studies have been undertaken to identify transport issues in the area, the findings of which have subsequently been developed into the following highway and environmental improvement schemes: a) B582 Enderby Road / Whetstone Transfer Station Access Junction Improvement b) B582 Enderby Road Corridor Improvements c) Foxhunter Roundabout Junction/B582 Blaby Road Improvements d) A5460 Narborough Road South Corridor Improvements e) ASDA and Everards Roundabout Junction Improvements Schemes a) to c) form the first phase of works on which consultation is now complete. Schemes d) and e) form the second phase of works. Consultation on these schemes will be undertaken as appropriate
