CosbyProposed Traffic Calming Scheme![]() BackgroundCosby Parish Council have approached Leicestershire County Council with a view to introducing traffic calming in the village to address concerns over the speed of traffic and the lack of pedestrian crossing facilities. The Parish Council has been raising money for a number of years to address these traffic problems, and is prepared to finance over 90% of the estimated cost of the proposed scheme. A scheme has been developed in partnership with Leicestershire County Council following discussions with Cosby Parish Council. The Proposals

Scheme Objectives
Public Exhibition A public exhibition was held at Cosby Village Hall on Thursday 13th December 2007.County Council Officers and Parish Council members were in attendance to discuss scheme details and answer any queries. Thank you for your comments which will now be consideredWhat happens next?The success of these proposals is dependent on the support of the local community and comments received help elected members to decide how the scheme should progress.
