Further news on the development of this scheme will follow shortly BackgroundBadgerbrook Primary School has developed a School Travel Plan to encourage walking as the preferred mode of travel for the school children and to make the area around the school safer for those who do walk. Scheme Objectives
Results of ConsultationConsultations took place in June 2007
Over 90% of respondents were in support of the scheme.
Full details of the consultation have been reported to County Councillors and they support the implementation of this scheme, which subsequently been approved.
ConstructionConstruction of the scheme was programmed to start on August 26th 2007 and works should take approximately 8 weeks. The needs of the local community will be fully considered during construction in order that any disruption is kept to a minimum
