2006The scheme has been approved for implementation and construction works are
programmed for January 2007.June 2006Now that all
works have been completed and the Public House has been reopened the scheme has now been resumed. Due
to the time lapse, letters have been sent to affected frontages to inform them of our intention to progress
the scheme. Street, Thurnby links Stoughton Road with the A47 Uppingham Road. It is almost entirely residential
except for St. Lukes Church of England Primary School.Part of the proposals involve the use of the Rose
and Crown Public House Car Park. In December 2004 the Public House was gutted by fire and the owners
have had an extensive restoration of the building to carry out. The Rose and Crown Public House was
re-opened in December 2005The Proposals

intiative can be actively promoted in the village
