Approved Road Safety Scheme.

Picture of Village Name Plate

Latest Update March 2007

The villagewide scheme is now substantially complete and post scheme monitoring is underway.  Initial surveys are showing that vehicle speeds are being significantly reduced.
As with any scheme of this nature there is going to be a settling in period for the scheme to achieve its aims.
The measures implemented in Queniborough were speed tables, speed cushions, sheltered parking, a zebra crossing, a vehicle activated sign on Barkby Road, village entry gateways and a new footway on Barkby Road.  40mph speed limits have been introduced and are now in operation on Barkby Road and Croxton Road.  As has speed limit road markings, signing, pedestrian tactile paving and wooden bollards.  For further details of the measures implemented please view our Photo Gallery of Measures.
Should you have any queries regarding the principle of the scheme please contact Pete Doggett on 0116 3057266, or should you have particular queries with regards to construction, please contact Matt Lonie on 0116 3057163.
